ROY MORAN
One of the first pioneers of Shoal Creek, Roy has been guiding the direction of Shoal Creek since 1993. A graduate of Baylor University and Dallas Theological Seminary, Roy has taken his informal gifts for teaching and for relating to people and combined them with his formal seminary education to help Shoal Creek leave an impact on the lives of countless people. Aside from his efforts in the Shoal Creek Community, Roy is an avid reader and a frustrated golfer with addictions to strong coffee and salsa (but not together). Roy also has the pleasure of being married to his wife Candy with whom he has helped raise four children (Alyssa, Trevor, Jessie, and Colin). He also spends many of his days playing "Pop-pop" to his adorable granddaughter Molly.

CANDY MORAN
With an artist's eye, Candy Moran helps bring emotion and energy to the Sunday and Communion services. As the programming and arts director, Candy's hand is in every aspect of a Shoal Creek service. She also lends leadership to children's ministry, team formation and training new leaders. As a founding member, Candy has invested her time and energy into the mission of Shoal Creek as well as being the loving wife of Roy, mother of four and grandmother to Molly.

JASON PERRY
If you ever find yourself doubting this whole "community thing", then you definitely need to meet Jason. As the director of community and small groups, Jason gets a front row seat to watch people first walk into Shoal Creek and then journey with others as they become fully-devoted followers of Christ. Not a bad job for a former computer programmer who was once too shy to even answer the door for the pizza delivery guy. A member of the Shoal Creek Community since 1995, Jason has been fortunate enough to share his experiences here with his wife Diana and his two children, Shawna and James.

SEAN HOEFLICKER
If Shoal Creek is the Swiss Army, then Sean is our knife. As if being the head of building maintenance, stewardship, and communications weren't enough, Sean also comes equipped with tweezers and a plastic toothpick. After spending nine years as a pilot in the United States Air Force, Sean moved to Liberty with his wife, Julie, and their two children, Zach and Kaylee. Thanks to their neighbors, they visited a little church called Shoal Creek Community Church which at the time was meeting at the Liberty Community Center. Sean quickly got hooked on Shoal Creek's style and small groups.

RACHEL MCDONALD
Consistently, one of the most talked about segments of any Shoal Creek Sunday morning is the music selection. Comments range from "Awesome! The band played Bob Dylan!" to "Cover your ears children! 'Tis the devil's music!" This is all thanks to Rachel the music director. Gifted with a wonderful voice and a keen ear, Rachel has played a vital role in making Sundays at the Creek an enjoyable and meaningful experience for spiritual seekers. A graduate of Truman State University, Rachel was headed towards a career in music education when she spent two summers as an intern in the Leadership Training Project at Shoal Creek. Soon, Rachel realized Shoal Creek was the place for her. When Rachel isn't scanning the musical landscape, she enjoys spending time with husband Michael.

JUSTIN TALLEY
Down in the basement, something lurks...something ancient and terrifying...but next door to THAT is our Justin, resident Good Ole Boy and student ministries director! Located in his leaky and humble office, Justin dedicates himself to making our High School and Middle School ministries meaningful, innovative, and fun. An education major from Northwest Missouri State University and Plattsburg native, Justin has led our student ministries into new and often challenging territory seeking to nurture future Christ-followers with a strong community of their own. A part time movie buff and video game enthusiast, Justin has always been a student—first of high school, then college, and now a student of ministry. When not hanging out with students, Justin always loves to hang out with his wife, Erin.

TREVOR MORAN
The eldest son of Roy and Candy, Trevor is the director of The Studio. Anything from a media piece on Sunday mornings or the design of a men's room sign has probably had Trevor's hand in it (or at least one of his pinkies.) Trevor has had the unique pleasure of being one of the first children to be brought up in the Shoal Creek Community; seeing the church grow from a handful of people in a living room to the several hundred who meet today. Odds are if you see Trevor, you'll see his laptop, because Trevor's passion for the church has driven him to seek the most innovative and exciting ideas from the worlds of church and media and finding ways to combine them. And if Trevor isn't playing on his laptop, he's sure to be hunting, playing sports, or spending time with his wife Chanda.
