What is The Echo Project?

The goal of the Echo Project is to collect, catalog and make available, the hundreds, if not thousands of important stories of people who have found a relationship with Christ at Shoal Creek so that our community can see that God IS moving in fantastic ways.

What's so important about a story?

  • Your story is God's work in this world.
  • A story can bridge the gap between people on different sides of life.
  • A story can motivate and mobilize people to take risks, live boldly, or think differently.
  • A story can point somebody toward God and help that person take one more step towards crossing the line of faith in Christ.
What can you do?

All we are asking is for you to have a conversation. You don't have to be a pro to do this. All you have to do is ask a question and just listen. Think of it as a 10-90 split: 10% of your job as an interviewer is to ask the questions and 90% of your job is to be a good listener.

Examples of possible questions could be...
  • How did you come to follow Christ?
  • Who was a pivotal person in your life as you came to know God?
  • What's been a moment in serving on a team (or in a group) that will stay with you forever?
  • What's an idea that has changed the way you...live? View God? Relate to others? Worship?
  • What's been a major trial in your life and how did your relationship with God help you with it?
But, don't go off this list! Come up with a question that will help draw out the personal story of your interviewee. And, go from there...
