Wednesday, October 7th from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the auditorium Communion is an opportunity to pay honor to God through remembrance. Remembrance of who Jesus is, of His sacrifice, and of the new life He offers us. Through the bread that we break and share with another, we remember the body that was beaten and broken for you and me. Through the juice we drink, we remember that Jesus’ blood was spilled in sacrifice—a painful sacrifice done so that we could have a chance to know God like Jesus did. We invite you to take part as we come together to celebrate Communion in the Shoal Creek Community; as friends and family, as neighbors and coworkers, as heirs and servants in the Kingdom of God. |
