At our core there is a battle for control. Jesus declares that we have to choose between God and money, alluding to the fact that money is the chief rival God. God loans us his resources while on this earth and give us the opportunity to express our trust in Him by giving to the expansion of his work in this world. God's commitment to us encourages us to be extravagant in our giving to his causes.
